E for EVERLASTING faith
As we travel our Advent journey―
Preparing for our Savior and King,
Our hearts aflame most prayerfully.
At Holy Mass, the Advent candles
Are set in a wreath bound with wire―
Three purple candles and one that is pink,
One, each Sunday, to light with fire.
The first Sunday candle portrays God’s Love,
The second one, Hope in His coming—
The third one (pink) is alight for Joy,
The fourth for Peace in God’s great loving.
And each Sunday when a candle is lit,
We’ll honor God’s glory with a song,
A Christmas carol or Advent hymn—
And Oh with what joy we’ll sing along!

Great Advent reading
Beautifully written with lovely illustrations, this is a great book for children to read in Advent or to have read to them. Covers the first three Joyful Mysteries and also includes a section on thanksgiving to God as well. Excellent Advent book for any Catholic family’s library.
